This is a ‘Living Plaque' where I blended the bust of Nefertiti with a photograph of the model representing her. I also scanned an Egyptian replica, replacing the scarab with her head. Nefertiti is a powerful and enigmatic figure in Egyptian history. Her portrait bust is an icon of timeless feminine beauty Together with her husband the Pharaoh Akhenaten, she brought new and controversial ideas and concepts to ancient Egypt. She reigned as co-regent, giving the feminine an unprecedented place of power and honor.
