From the Ecstatic Portals series. We shot a video scenario entitled Egyptian Resurrection and this is one of the distillations of the vision into a digital collage. I photographed and scanned many Egyptian elements, featuring images of Nefertiti and Akhnaten. Akhnaten saw the sun as the primary source of spiritual power and so this is centrally featured and the whole picture bathed in gold. The model is blended with ancient effigies throughout, bringing them back to life and claiming them for the rites of passage of Queen Nefertiti.
